Finding the Perfect Pond Design

The Underlying Questions to Consider for the Perfect Pond Design

Do you want plants to fill in your pond? How many plants do you want in your pond?

How many fish do you want to have? What types of fish would you want in your pond?

Do you want leaves to fall in your pond?

These are essential questions that you need to consider in the design scheme of the perfect pond.

Two of the Most Common Types of Pond Designs

Two of the most common types of pond designs used today are known as the Liner Pond design and the Gunited or concrete pond types. There are major distinctions between these two types. Liner ponds such as the Firestone EPDM 45 Mil thick liner uses a liner that contains a water proof membrane. The thought behind this is that the bond can be drained and removed in a day or so when using this type of liner.

In contrast, the Gunited pond type is known as a concrete pond lining. Concrete pond lining does not have the ability to be drained unless a drainage pipe commodity is placed while the cement is still drying during the pre-set stages. This gives the advantage to the Liner ponds because they are more probable when it comes to cleaning and up keep.

Information to Take into Consideration Regarding Pond Design

When considering a pond design, you need to take several things into consideration. First, you need to consider the amount of money that you are willing to invest in designing a natural pond. Pond kits are highly recommended for beginners because these kits contain all of the materials needed to have a small above ground pond in their yard or on their porch. Small freestanding ponds run in the vicinity of $200 and become more expensive when considering the various materials that will add to the simple to complex conversion of expert pond designers.

Such materials would include buckets, fountains and much more - the options are endless. Next, trying to incorporate pre-existing themes such as garden pond designs and nature can be quite daunting if you are not aware of how to blend their elegance together and incorporate it into the scene. The art of creating beautiful water falls to a quiet place of balance and serenity truly captures “Nature’s Song”. Be sure to find a way to hide the source of the water and the hoses as well. Remember tacky isn’t appealing; taking this information into consideration will provide you with a piece of heaven right in your own home.
